The CWI is a regional initiative that facilitates collaboration between the Ramsar Convention and the Framework Convention on Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians (Carpathian Convention).
Established in February 2004, endorsed by the Ramsar Standing Committee in May 2009.
To ensure and support the effective conservation and wise use of wetlands in the Carpathian region and beyond, through local, national, regional and international activities.
Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine.
